Here are the three paintings I am working on. I followed your advice, and the last two are pretty much done. I am still debating what to do with the first one. I am considering doing a detailed painting of a woodpecker over the pen & ink cartoon, which would block a lot of the cartoon image out, but I am really up in the air with this one...let me know your thoughts.
I love the blue around the hydrangea, it adds great contrast.
ReplyDeleteI think the background on the orchid is a little too busy - the lines in the background distract a little from the lines in the flower. maybe darken the whole background?
I like the cartoon - the dragoncatboy looks great in his new environment! I think the contrast of a bird over top would look cool.
