Hey Kelly,
Here is my first attempt at a painting based off of my commuter train sketches. It is still in its beginning stages--and it might just end up being a watercolor sketch for another painting. Nevertheless, I think the basic idea is there, so let me know what you think.
I am going to draw a lot more of the flowers in, mainly making sure that the bottom left part of the picture isn't bare. I am thinking about using charcoal and white pencil, but I haven't decided.
ReplyDeleteit's very intriguing the way you have the flowers covering the mans face - it's looks intentional, but not because the man needs to be hidden - it makes me want to look closer at his expression. I really like the use of negative space, but I think more flowers will look good - I can't wait to see it............
