Inspiration of the day: Banksy

His/her work is great, and it is in line with what we were talking about yesterday: exploring graffiti and social commentary. His/her work is bold, funny, and poignant. Also, it is interesting that an outlaw, ghost of an artist has a website. I was initially inspired by an episode of Good Morning Today (or something like that), which highlighted his work. Let me know what you think.

I also like his manifesto

Images and Photographs - christopher wool: official artist's site

while doing some research for my contemporary art history class, I came across this artist. I have seen his work before - I find it very inspiring - the simplicity reminds me of Franz Kline.

Art Biz Blog: 2007 Highlights

this is a great idea from Alyson Stanfield - write down your accomplishments from 2007. I just finished writing a list and feel so much better about what I did accomplish instead of stressing out about what I didn't get done. Next, I'm going to work on my list of goals for 2008.
